About Vasastan: the back story

Vasastan, north of the city centre, is a district of turn-of-the-century apartment blocks, squares and parks around Odenplan, Vasaparken and Tegnérlunden. It has some of the city’s best neighbourhood restaurants: Dashi, Sushi Sho and Etoile hold One MICHELIN Star, and Babette and Lilla Ego have Bib Gourmands. Hagastaden is growing at its northern edge.

Eating

Dashi, Sushi Sho and Etoile (One Star, 2026); Babette and Lilla Ego (Bib Gourmand); Farang, NISCH, Minh Mat, Prospero and BORD, in the MICHELIN Guide.

Staying

Villa Dahlia on Tegnérlunden, Ruth and Blique by Nobis.

Book the neighbourhood restaurants: they fill with locals.

Our advice: walk from Tegnérlunden to Vasaparken and Odenplan.
